Credit Reference Letters must include the following:
The letter must be dated, with the date it was written.
The letter must be addressed to: The Export-Import Bank of the United States.
Contents:
- Date the relationship commenced and if the relationship continues being active.
- Type of credit facility extended (Time period of credits, and the highest amount
in U.S. dollars)
- Support or collateral backing of the credit facility.
- Payment record (Does the company pay on time?).
- A general opinion of the company, e.g., “We hold the management and the
company in high esteem”, or “This is one of our best customers and always
pays as agreed.”
